Looking for group & maxi travel from Somerville? Taxi Peninsula picks up from any address in Somerville in a wheelchair accessible taxi with a ramp or hoist, four-point wheelchair restraints and a driver trained to help you in and out safely.
Eramosa Road and Frankston-Flinders Road meet in the town centre and can be busy at school drop-off and pick-up times. Peninsula Link is accessible via Baxter for faster trips north to EastLink and Melbourne. Somerville station is on the Stony Point line; trains are less frequent than metropolitan services, so check connections at Frankston. Newer estates have similar-looking streets, so double-check the address when booking, and farm properties should include gate details. Outside the centre, rural roads have little street lighting, so a porch light helps at night. Weekend traffic towards Hastings and the Western Port coast also passes through town.

How many people fit in a Maxi taxi?
Our Maxi WAT carries up to six seated passengers plus two wheelchair users. Every passenger has a lap-sash seatbelt, and wheelchairs are secured with four-point restraints. If your group is bigger than one Maxi, we can send an additional vehicle and coordinate both so the group travels at about the same time.
Can the Maxi pick people up from different addresses?
Yes. List each pick-up address in order when you book, and the driver will collect everyone along the way. The same works in reverse at the end of a night out, with passengers dropped at their own homes. Giving us all the addresses upfront lets us plan the most sensible route.
Is the Maxi only for wheelchair users?
No. The Maxi is a wheelchair accessible taxi, but it is just as useful for groups without any wheelchairs. Families, friends, work teams and sporting groups book it for airport trips, dinners, events and day trips simply because everyone can travel in one vehicle together.
Will our luggage fit for an airport trip?
Tell us how many suitcases, prams, golf bags or other large items you have when you book. We will confirm whether everything fits in the Maxi with your group, or suggest a second vehicle if needed. Space depends on how many seats and wheelchair positions are in use on the trip.
How far ahead should we book a Maxi?
As early as possible, especially for weekend nights, public holidays, the summer season on the Peninsula and big event days in Melbourne. Maxi vehicles are popular with groups and wheelchair users alike. Book online in about two minutes or phone us, and you will receive an SMS or email confirmation.
Questions about group & maxi travel from somerville
How long does it take from Somerville to Κέντρο της Μελβούρνης (CBD)?
About 65 minutes without traffic. We add time for loading and securing your wheelchair, and for peak-hour traffic, when we plan your pick-up.
How much does it cost for group & maxi travel from Somerville?
Fares depend on distance, time of day and waiting time. The booking form shows an estimate, or ask us for a fixed quote.
Can you pick me up from my home, a hospital or an aged-care home in Somerville?
Yes. We pick up from any address — homes, hospitals, clinics, aged-care homes and day programs — and help you from the door to the vehicle.
Can you take me from Somerville station to home with my shopping?
Yes, and the driver can help carry bags to your door. Many Somerville residents use a taxi between the station, the Eramosa Road shops and home. If you need a wheelchair accessible vehicle, tell us when booking, and give a clear pick-up point near the station or the shops.
Do you go from Somerville to Mornington for appointments?
We do. Mornington is a common destination for Somerville residents, whether for The Bays Hospital, specialists or shopping. Give us the clinic name and appointment time, and choose a set return time or the pick up when ready option. A carer can travel with the passenger.
My Somerville address is in a new estate. Will the driver find it?
New streets sometimes take time to show up in maps. Add a note with the nearest main road or a landmark, and check your street name and number when booking. If the estate has several entrances, mention which one to use. Your confirmation by SMS or email shows the address for checking.
