The InterContinental Sorrento occupies the restored limestone Continental Hotel on Ocean Beach Road, right in the middle of Sorrento village. Alongside its rooms it has bars, dining and event spaces, and it hosts weddings and functions throughout the year.
Guests use our taxis to arrive from Melbourne Airport or Frankston, to get to back beach walks and Point Nepean, and to visit wineries in Red Hill without worrying about driving. Event guests often stay in Rye, Rosebud or Blairgowrie and book us to bring them in for the evening and home again afterwards. Sorrento village is compact, but the peninsula around it is spread out, with wineries, golf courses and hot springs all a drive away. Booking a taxi for those outings lets guests make the most of a stay without moving the car or deciding who drives.
We offer sedans for everyday trips and two kinds of wheelchair accessible vehicle for guests with mobility needs: a van with a rear ramp, and a Maxi WAT with a hydraulic hoist that suits heavier power chairs. Carers travel with the passenger. Summer and long weekends are the peak in Sorrento, so book well ahead.
