Monash Children’s Hospital is a public paediatric hospital on the Monash Medical Centre site in Clayton, run by Monash Health. It cares for babies, children and teenagers from across south-east Melbourne, with specialist clinics, inpatient wards and neonatal care.
Families from Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula are often referred here for specialist paediatric care. Appointments can be frequent, and a sick or anxious child makes a long drive and a hunt for parking much harder. Some families do not have a car available on weekdays. Some children have regular clinic visits for ongoing conditions, while others are admitted for surgery or a period of treatment. Parents often need to juggle work, siblings and school pick-ups at the same time, so a booked ride that turns up on time and waits for the right moment to load a child, their chair and their equipment is a real help.
Taxi Peninsula provides door-to-door trips for the whole family. Children who use a wheelchair can travel seated in their chair with four-point restraints, and siblings and parents can come along. Bring your child’s car seat and the driver will give you time to fit it. We accept NDIS accounts, and fixed quotes are available on request.

If your child travels in their own wheelchair, book a wheelchair accessible van and they can stay in their chair, secured with four-point restraints.
Can we use NDIS funding for trips to Monash Children’s?
We accept NDIS accounts. If your child’s plan includes transport funding, let us know when you book and we will make sure the trip is recorded correctly. If you are not sure what your plan covers, check with your plan manager or support coordinator before you travel.
