Sandringham Hospital is a community hospital in Melbourne’s bayside suburbs, run by Alfred Health. It has an emergency department, general medical care and outpatient services, and serves residents from Sandringham, Black Rock, Beaumaris, Hampton and nearby areas.
Residents of Frankston and the upper Peninsula sometimes visit Sandringham to see family admitted there, or are referred to clinics on the site. Its smaller scale makes it less daunting than the large city hospitals, but getting there without a car still takes some planning. Visitors from Frankston, Seaford or Carrum often prefer to skip the drive up the Nepean Highway and the hunt for a park in the surrounding residential streets.
