Tips from our drivers for Tuck’s Ridge

  • Montalto and Red Hill Estate are close neighbours, perfect for a short wine trail.
  • Book your return trip before you arrive on weekends.
  • Summer afternoons are popular, so reserve your table and your taxi early.

Tuck’s, long known as Tuck’s Ridge, is a winery on Shoreham Road in Red Hill South, with a cellar door and dining space overlooking the vines. It is part of the tight cluster of wineries along Shoreham Road that make the area so easy to explore in a single day.

Our passengers often visit Tuck’s alongside Montalto and Red Hill Estate, moving from tasting to lunch to a final stop without anyone needing to stay sober to drive. Friends celebrating birthdays and couples on weekends away make up much of our trade here. Because the Shoreham Road wineries sit so close together, a taxi day here does not need to be long. Some groups visit just two venues, tasting at one and lunching at the other, then head home by mid-afternoon. Others make a full day of it, and we fit around either plan.

Our sedans suit small groups, while the Maxi WAT takes up to eight seated passengers. For guests with mobility needs, our wheelchair accessible van and Maxi WAT are fitted with four-point restraints, and drivers help passengers from the car to the cellar door. Eligible passengers can pay part of the fare with an MPTP card.

Questions about taxis to Tuck’s Ridge

Is Tuck’s close to Montalto and Red Hill Estate?

Yes. All three sit along Shoreham Road in Red Hill South, so trips between them are short. Tell us the order you would like to visit them and your approximate timings, and we can book each leg so you are collected when you are ready.

Can we book a taxi for a group of eight to Tuck’s?

Yes. Our Maxi WAT seats up to eight when no wheelchairs are on board, so your whole group can travel together. Book in advance, especially for summer weekends, and let us know your return time so we can have the vehicle there when you finish.

Where will you drop me off at Tuck’s Ridge?

Drop-off and pick-up are at the front of the cellar door building. Tell us if you are dining and we will meet you at the restaurant side.

Can you wait or pick me up after my appointment at Tuck’s Ridge?

Yes. Book a return trip with an approximate time, then call or text us when you are ready. Appointments often run late, so we keep return pick-ups flexible.

Is there step-free access at Tuck’s Ridge?

We drop you at the cellar door entrance near the end of the driveway.

Can I travel in my power wheelchair or scooter?

Yes. Most manual and power wheelchairs fit, and you stay seated in your chair. Tell us the make, width and weight when you book so we send the right vehicle. Mobility scooters can travel when they can be safely restrained — please check with us first.

Can a carer or family member come too?
