The Victorian Heart Hospital is a dedicated public cardiac hospital in Clayton, run by Monash Health on the Monash University campus. It brings heart care, research and training together in one purpose-built building and treats patients from across Victoria for heart conditions, from diagnostic tests through to procedures and inpatient care.

Peninsula patients may be referred here for cardiology appointments, investigations or procedures, and some return regularly for follow-up. After many heart procedures you will be advised not to drive for a while, and stress about getting there on time is the last thing anyone needs before a cardiac test. Patients coming for a procedure may also have been asked to bring a support person, who then needs a way to get there and back as well. A single booking can carry you both.
