Jackalope Hotel is a boutique design hotel set among the vines of Willow Creek Vineyard in Merricks North, in the hills between Red Hill and Balnarring. It draws guests for its architecture, its dining and its quiet rural setting, and it is a regular choice for special-occasion stays and celebrations.
Because it sits on a country road with no public transport close by, a taxi is the simplest way in and out. We take guests from Melbourne Airport and Frankston station, run diners from Mornington and Mount Martha out for a long dinner, and bring them home afterwards. Couples staying the night often book us to explore nearby cellar doors in Red Hill and Merricks the next day. Hotel guests heading out for dinner in Flinders, Red Hill or Mornington can book a return trip so the evening ends back at their room without anyone behind the wheel.
Our sedans suit couples and small groups. If someone in your party uses a wheelchair, the accessible van has a rear ramp and four-point restraints, and the Maxi WAT can carry two wheelchairs alongside six seated passengers. Weekend evenings book out quickly in summer, so reserve early.

Can you take us from Jackalope to other wineries during our stay?
Yes. Many guests book us for a short loop of nearby cellar doors in Red Hill, Merricks and Main Ridge. Tell us which wineries you plan to visit and roughly how long you will stay at each, and we can set up the pick-ups so you are not waiting around between tastings.
