Westfield Southland is one of Melbourne’s largest shopping centres, on the Nepean Highway in Cheltenham. It has department stores, supermarkets, hundreds of specialty shops, dining and a cinema, and it has its own train station on the Frankston line.
Peninsula residents make the trip to Southland for a bigger range of shops, especially before Christmas or for larger purchases. Getting home with heavy bags or bulky items on the train is hard, and some prefer not to drive in busy traffic. Some Peninsula residents take the train to Southland station and then prefer a taxi home with their purchases. Others visit with a friend or family member who uses a wheelchair, and need a vehicle that can carry both the chair and the shopping. Older shoppers may also prefer not to drive in the busy car parks and on the Nepean Highway. A single booking takes care of the whole trip home.
Taxi Peninsula picks you up from Southland and takes you home to Frankston or the Peninsula. The driver helps load your shopping and carry it to your door. Choose a sedan or a wheelchair accessible vehicle, and ask for a fixed quote for the longer trip.
