Hotel Sorrento is a long-standing limestone hotel on Hotham Road, overlooking Port Phillip just above the Sorrento foreshore. It combines a pub and dining room with accommodation, and it is a favourite for long lunches, birthdays and summer evenings watching the bay.
We take locals and visitors to the hotel from across the southern peninsula, from Rye and Blairgowrie to Portsea, and bring them home at closing time. Guests staying overnight book us for Melbourne Airport transfers, rides to the back beaches and trips to wineries further inland. We also handle pick-ups for people arriving on the Queenscliff ferry. In the cooler months the hotel is quieter, and locals from Sorrento and Portsea book us for a weekend meal or a midweek catch-up. The southern end of the peninsula has fewer taxis than the city, so a set pick-up time is the surest way to get home when you want to.
For travellers who use a wheelchair, our ramp-equipped van and Maxi WAT both have four-point restraints and air-conditioning, and our drivers help door to door. Groups of up to eight can share the Maxi WAT. MPTP cards are accepted for eligible passengers.
