Most people asking for a taxi to Fingal are going to the hot springs, and Taxi Peninsula is happy to get them there and home again at any hour. We also look after the people who live in Fingal’s scattered rural homes. Book a sedan for a simple trip, or a wheelchair accessible vehicle with a ramp or hoist and proper four-point restraints for passengers who stay in their chair.
Fingal is a quiet stretch of farmland and bush between Boneo, Rye and the ocean coast of the Mornington Peninsula National Park. Peninsula Hot Springs draws visitors from all over Melbourne, and the Moonah Links golf courses are nearby, so we carry plenty of day-trippers, golfers and weekend guests. For residents, everyday trips run to Rosebud and Rye for shopping and to Rosebud Hospital, while Frankston Hospital and Melbourne Airport are common longer journeys.
Bookings for the hot springs are worth making in advance, especially on weekends and public holidays when the area is busy. Groups of friends can share the Maxi WAT, which takes up to two wheelchairs and six seated passengers. MPTP cards and NDIS and aged-care accounts are accepted, and carers travel with the passenger they support. Flying in for a spa weekend? Add your flight number and we’ll track it, so the driver is at Melbourne Airport when you actually land rather than when the timetable said. We’re also happy to take you back to your accommodation in Rye, Rosebud or Sorrento after your session.

Fingal has no shopping strip, just country roads such as Boneo Road and Browns Road linking farms, wineries, golf courses and the hot springs. Roads are mostly quiet, but there’s little street lighting and some side roads are unsealed, so night pick-ups from private homes need clear directions and a note about gates or long driveways. The area around the hot springs gets busy on weekends and holidays, with cars coming down from the freeway. There’s no practical public transport to most of Fingal, which is why visitors without a car rely on taxis to get between Rosebud, Rye and the springs.

Can you collect us from Peninsula Hot Springs after a late session?
Yes, we run 24 hours. Book your return trip as “pick up when ready” and tap “I’m ready” or call us when you’re dressed and heading out. If you already know your finish time, you can set it when booking. We’ll take you back to your accommodation anywhere on the peninsula or home to Melbourne.
Can a group of friends get to the hot springs together from Melbourne?
Yes. The Maxi WAT can carry up to two wheelchairs and six seated passengers, so it suits friends travelling together, including someone who uses a wheelchair. Tell us your group size and pick-up address when booking, and ask for a fixed quote if you’d like to know the fare before the day.
Can you take me and my golf clubs to Moonah Links?
Yes. Mention your golf bag when you book so we send a car with the right boot space. We’ll drop you at the clubhouse and can bring you back after your round. Booking the return as “pick up when ready” is handy when you’re not sure how long the nineteenth hole will take.
