Bittern sits between Hastings and Balnarring on the Western Port side of the Peninsula, and Taxi Peninsula covers it around the clock. We run standard sedans for everyday trips and wheelchair accessible vehicles for passengers who travel seated in their chair, so a household can use one service whether Mum needs the ramp van or the teenagers just need a lift home from Frankston late at night.
Life in Bittern runs along Frankston-Flinders Road, with quiet residential streets spreading towards the water and the bushland edges of town. Bittern station is on the Stony Point line, which is handy but not frequent, so many locals take a taxi to Frankston station to connect with the metropolitan Frankston line. Other regular trips take people to Frankston Hospital, the shops and services in Hastings, Rosebud Hospital on the bay side, and further afield to Melbourne Airport. Residents with family at HMAS Cerberus in nearby Crib Point also use us for visits and drop-offs.

Can you take me from Bittern to Frankston station to catch a train to the city?
Yes. Plenty of Bittern residents prefer a taxi to Frankston station over waiting for a Stony Point line connection. We drop you at the station forecourt so you can walk straight to the platforms. Booking ahead is wise for early weekday trains, and if you travel in a wheelchair our ramp van can take you there and you can continue on the metropolitan network.
My property in Bittern is on a gravel road. Will the driver find it?
Our drivers are used to the Western Port side of the Peninsula, including unsealed roads and properties set back from the street. Add a note to your booking describing the gate, driveway or a nearby landmark, and mention if the vehicle can turn around on site. For wheelchair passengers, tell us where the most level spot for the ramp or hoist is.
Do you do return trips from Bittern to Rosebud Hospital?
We do. Rosebud Hospital is a common destination for Bittern residents, and we can book you there and back.
