Crib Point sits on the shore of Western Port, next door to the HMAS Cerberus navy base and a short drive from the Stony Point ferry. Taxi Peninsula covers the town day and night with sedans for everyday trips and wheelchair accessible vehicles for people who need to travel in their chair. Bookings take about two minutes online, with confirmation by SMS or email.

It’s a relaxed, mostly residential town with a small shopping strip, foreshore reserves and a station on the Stony Point line. Navy families, retirees and longtime locals all live here. Common trips include Hastings for supermarkets and services, Frankston for the hospital, Bayside Shopping Centre and metro trains, and Stony Point for ferries to French Island and Phillip Island. Mornington, Rosebud Hospital and Melbourne Airport are also regular destinations.

If you’re catching an early flight, a ferry or a train connection, book ahead so your car is lined up. Groups and families can ask for the Maxi WAT. We accept MPTP cards, NDIS and aged-care accounts, and a carer or support worker can travel with the passenger. For Frankston Hospital trips, especially discharges, choose “pick up when ready” and tap “I’m ready” or call when the ward lets you go. Returning to Crib Point after a holiday? Add your flight number when booking from Melbourne Airport and we’ll track your arrival. Drivers help with bags and walking aids at both ends.

Just to the south, Stony Point marks the ferry terminal and the end of the train line. Trains on the Stony Point line run less often than metro services, so a taxi to Frankston is often quicker when timing matters. Traffic is usually light, though summer brings extra visitors heading for the ferries. Some streets near the foreshore are narrow or unsealed, so give us a cross street when booking. Ferry passengers with luggage are best collected right at the terminal rather than out on the main road.

Can you meet the ferry at Stony Point and take us home to Crib Point?

Yes. Tell us which ferry you’re on and we’ll be waiting at Stony Point. Ferries can be delayed by weather, so call us once you’re about to dock if times change. We can also take you from home to the terminal for an outgoing crossing to French Island or Phillip Island.

Is it quicker to take a taxi to Frankston than the train?

Often, yes, especially if you’d otherwise wait for a Stony Point line connection. A taxi goes straight from your door to Frankston station, Frankston Hospital or Bayside Shopping Centre. If you’re travelling with luggage, a wheelchair or young children, door-to-door transport also saves you a change of train.

Do you take people to and from HMAS Cerberus?

Yes, we carry navy personnel, visitors and family members to and from the base area. Access to the base itself is managed by Defence, so make sure you have the right arrangements in place and tell us when booking where you need to be dropped. We’ll take you to the entry point.
