Dromana sits at the foot of Arthurs Seat where the Peninsula’s bay coast begins to curve west, and Taxi Peninsula is on call here day and night. We send sedans for regular trips and wheelchair accessible taxis for passengers who need to stay seated in their chair. During the summer peak, Point Nepean Road slows to a crawl, so pre-book trips that cannot be late. For early flights, book the evening before. Groups of friends heading to a winery lunch can share the Maxi WAT, which seats six plus two wheelchair spaces. We take MPTP cards, NDIS and aged-care accounts, and carers travel with the passenger. Ask for a fixed quote for longer journeys, such as a trip to Melbourne Airport or the city.

There is no train line on this side of the Peninsula. Off-season, the town is far quieter and pick-ups along the main street are straightforward.

Can you take us up Arthurs Seat from Dromana?
Yes. We can drop you at the Arthurs Seat Eagle base station or at the summit area, and pick you up again later. The road is steep and winding, so we plan a little extra time. If someone in your group uses a wheelchair, our accessible vehicles can do the trip comfortably.
Do you pick up from the Dromana foreshore camping grounds?
We do. Give us your site area or a clear meeting point such as the camping ground entrance, because foreshore grounds can be crowded in summer and site numbers are hard to find at night. Mention any luggage or eskies so we send a vehicle with enough room.
Is it worth booking ahead for a winery trip from Dromana to Red Hill?
It is, particularly on weekends and in summer when cellar doors and restaurants are busy and cars are in high demand. Book both legs at once so your ride home is secured. Groups can share the Maxi WAT, which takes six seated passengers plus two wheelchairs.
