Blink on the Frankston–Flinders Road and you might miss Merricks, a tiny settlement surrounded by vineyards and farmland near Western Port. Summer weekends bring extra visitors to the wineries and the nearby beaches at Point Leo and Merricks Beach, so traffic can bunch up around lunch. Public transport is very limited, so most people without a car rely on taxis to reach Merricks.

Can you get us home from lunch at Pt. Leo Estate?
Yes. Many people book a taxi to and from the estate so nobody has to drive. Tell us your booking time and where you’re heading afterwards. Choose “pick up when ready” for the return and tap “I’m ready” or call when you’ve finished. We’ll meet you at the main arrival area.
Which hospitals do people from Merricks usually travel to?
Most public hospital care for the area is at Frankston Hospital or Rosebud Hospital, both run by Peninsula Health. Some people also visit private hospitals in Mornington and Frankston. We’ll drop you at the main entrance; tell us your department or ward when you book. For emergencies, always call 000.
Is there a train near Merricks?
There’s no station in Merricks. The nearest trains are on the Stony Point line, which runs through Bittern and Crib Point to Frankston. We can take you to one of those stations, or simply drive you all the way to Frankston station for more frequent trains into Melbourne.
