With Martha Cove at one end and Dromana at the other, Safety Beach is a busy little bayside suburb, and Taxi Peninsula serves it 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Book a sedan for errands or nights out, or a wheelchair accessible vehicle with a rear ramp or hydraulic hoist for passengers who stay in their chair. Our drivers help from your door to the car and back again.
The suburb has a long, sheltered beach backed by newer housing estates, the Martha Cove marina with its waterfront restaurants and apartments, and the Safety Beach Country Club golf course. Arthurs Seat rises behind the town, and the Mornington Peninsula Freeway runs close by, so Melbourne Airport and the city are easy trips. Locals often travel to Mornington for shopping and The Bays Hospital, to Frankston Hospital for specialist care, and to Rosebud Hospital for nearer appointments.
If you’re booking an airport run, add your flight number and we’ll track the flight for your return pick-up. Booking ahead is wise for early starts and hospital admissions. Larger family groups or friends travelling with a wheelchair user can use the Maxi WAT, and we take MPTP cards, NDIS and aged-care accounts, with carers riding alongside. Hospital trips are just as simple: for a discharge from Frankston Hospital or The Bays, pick “pick up when ready” and tap “I’m ready” once you’re cleared to go home. The driver will see you to your front door.

Safety Beach is easy to get in and out of, thanks to the freeway close by and the bay road running through to Dromana and Mount Martha. Traffic builds on summer weekends when beachgoers and boaties head to the foreshore and Martha Cove. Within the estates, many streets curve and loop back on themselves, and some newer houses aren’t well shown on older maps, so a cross street helps. If you’re being collected from Martha Cove, name the restaurant, apartment building or marina area so the driver knows where to wait. Night pick-ups from the foreshore are quickest from a well-lit spot by the road.

Can you pick us up after dinner at Martha Cove?
Yes. Martha Cove is a common pick-up point for us. When booking, tell us the restaurant or building you’re at so the driver can wait in the right spot. You can set a time or choose “pick up when ready” and let us know once you’ve paid the bill. We’ll take you home anywhere on the peninsula or further.
What’s the easiest way to get from Safety Beach to Mornington?
A taxi straight along the bay or via the freeway is usually the simplest choice, especially if you’re carrying shopping or heading to The Bays Hospital. We drop at the door of your appointment or at Main Street. If you need to come home at an uncertain time, book the return as “pick up when ready”.
We’re flying into Melbourne Airport. Can you meet us and bring us to Safety Beach?
Yes. Add your flight number when booking and we’ll track the flight, so if it lands early or late the pick-up time adjusts. The driver will take you straight down to Safety Beach. Let us know about any extra luggage, prams or a wheelchair so we send a vehicle with enough room.
