Tyabb is a small rural township between Somerville and Hastings, known for orchards, antiques and its airfield, and Taxi Peninsula is available here 24 hours a day. We offer sedans for everyday trips and wheelchair accessible taxis for passengers who use a manual or power chair.

The Tyabb Packing House Antique Centre, in an old fruit packing shed on Mornington-Tyabb Road, attracts collectors and day-trippers, and the nearby antiques and homewares stores make it a popular stop. Tyabb Airfield, a small general aviation airfield, is also in the area. Tyabb station is on the Stony Point line, while the Frankston-Flinders Road connects north to Somerville and Frankston and south to Hastings. Residents rely on taxis for Frankston Hospital, Frankston station, shopping in Hastings and Mornington, and trips to Melbourne Airport, since bus services are limited. The surrounding countryside is dotted with orchards, horse properties and small farms, and some families have lived in the district for generations. Many older residents no longer drive, so a dependable taxi for appointments and shopping makes a real difference.

With properties spread across farmland, it pays to book ahead, especially for early flights and medical appointments. Group visits to the antiques district can travel in the Maxi WAT, which seats six with two wheelchair spaces. We accept MPTP cards, NDIS and aged-care accounts, and carers come with the passenger. Is there a train from Tyabb to Frankston?

Yes, Tyabb station is on the Stony Point line, which runs to Frankston. Services are less frequent than metropolitan trains, so many locals take a taxi to Frankston station or straight to their appointment instead. We can book a regular commute if you travel on the same days.

I live on a farm property near Tyabb. What details should I give?

Provide the full address, the gate or entrance to use, whether it will be open and how far the house is from the road. Mention animals, cattle grids or a turning area. For wheelchair passengers, tell us where the ground is firm and level for the ramp or hoist.
